I was disappointed to see that the last train from London to Lewes is now at 22.47. This makes it impossible to see a show. When did the late train disappear and how did they get away with it without an outcry or did I miss it? This is a serious reduction in service.

It is the last one of the day, yes. But the first one of the next day is still the 00:05!

the 00:05 - better known as "The Vomit Comet" or "The Train of Shame" is a staple for theatre-goers, performers and those off their heads!....dreadful really, especially if you're on your own or a woman - I've had to stop drunks harassing people before which you don't need after a hard day on stage....

I take it you've not been on the 1am from Victoria to Brighton then Lewes Lady. It's like the wild west! (and then you have to pay for a cab to lewes). It really pays to make sure you're on the 00.05

You can use your day return on the 0005 without buying a new ticket. The cut off is (I think) 0400.
