Right, Hildebeast here
PLEASE respectfully, as much as I appreciate a bit of interest, please can you only comment on this if you are genuine people interested in the actual advert. I am not a stupid person. I have dealt with the rental market before and am fully aware of shisters!! and all the possible pitfalls. I do not want any letting agencies contacting me please and I do not need any scaremongering comments. Just a bit unnecessary I feel. Appreciate your cooperation in this matter. This is a genuine advert for genuine people. its not really a discussion topic. Many thanks

At the risk of being obtuse, shouldn't you put your advert in the free ads section? Either that or accept the unwritten rules of this forum, the main one being to post mildly amusing, sarcastic or abusive comments to each and every post.

Berwick is the most northerly town in England.
It is a few miles south of the Scottish border although Berwick Rangers play in the Scottish football league.
There is a great pub called The Barrels there.

Dear Hildebeast,
Please enlighten me as to where Berwick is? I assume it is not in the North of England since you are posting on the Lewes forum?
I have clients waiting on my books to rent houses in the Lewes area who would jump at a rental price such as this. But you have thus far refrained to tell us where Berwick is.

I'm sorry but no-one in Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north of England would pay £750 a month rent.
You may think you can advertise it for that much on the Lewes forum in the hope that we'll think it's cheap compared to rental prices down here in the south of England, but as soon as anyone actually visits Berwick they'll immediately see that rental prices are much, much cheaper than this. And anyway who is going to want to move to the northernmost town in England in the winter months for a 3 month stint?
Is this a joke advert?

To be fair, Hilde quite clearly states Berwick near Station and not Berwick upon Tweed.
Now, does anyone know where Station is?

Oh, I thought it meant 'Berwick, near a station'. I'm so used to everyone's typos, spelling and punctuation mistakes on this forum I just thought the 'a' had been missed out. I thought it being described as near a station was a selling point to appeal to commuters.

I find it difficult to believe that there are people on a Lewes forum who don't that Berwick is just two stations along the line from Lewes. There are dozens of posts on here about Plumpton, which is also just two stations away from Lewes.

Hildebeast,
How can you advertise a house on the basis of it being near a train station when you know full well there are no trains running at present due to the on going train strikes???
Are you deliberately trying to inflame things further?!? The train strikes have caused misery to thousands.

The Berwick used to be a great place for a spot of underage drinking back in the days, being so close to the station and being in the middle of nowhere so desperate for trade and happy to turn a blind eye to things like their customers being obviously fifteen years old. Ah, the good old days.
