I am after suggestions of venues/ideas for a birthday party for a 7 year old. My flat is tiny so am looking at hiring somewhere or going to an attraction.
I just wondered if anyone has had any really good kids party experiences on a budget they wouldn't mind sharing?

monkey business £120 (if you book mon-fri) for 10 kids includes food, ballons, a cake, party bags, t shirt for birthday child, invites and a member of staff to help, also marvin the monkey comes to say hi. Think its £120 for the lesser package or 150 for same on a saturday or sunday. Check out their website for more info.

We've done a couple of parties at Southover Church Hall, ten pounds an hour to hire and very good big space. Or the bouncy castle parties at the Leisure Centre are very popular - huge bouncy castle means you hardly need organise anything else.

Christ Church hall on the corner of Fitzjohns and Prince Edwards is a great space for parties. Can't remember exactly but about £7 per hour. Well stocked large kitchen and big room for games with enclosed garden area. Ours spent about an hour in the garden blowing bubbles (but it was a sunny day) before party games inside. Another option is the sports center at Sussex uni - they lay on all the party games, you provide the food. Good value and easier parking than anywhere on Lewes!
