Yes you can. BT and Sky seem most popular around town.

It's not as fast as they lead you to believe but it is significantly quicker.

BT Infinity in Wallands is super fast - reliable 55+ download speed.
Saying that, two years ago, when it first became available, it was 75+ (for the first year in fact).

"btf" I have had Superfast BB almost since day one via BT Openreach, given that it is not totally as wonderful as portrayed it is very very good.

While we're on the subject, any recommendations for fast business broadband (i.e. keeping a website + traffic up and running and good support)?

Virgin stopped expanding as the cheap contractors they were using got in trouble for cutting all the tree roots in tree lined streets. I think Virgin are happy serving densely populated areas (Cheap to service).
But the faster your broadband the more annoying you will find the lag on Lewes Forum

Plusnet offered me 38MB fibre today for £10/month plus £13.99 line rental. But have stuck with 20MB standard for £2.50 instead. Fast enough, and less chance of a price rise next year.

Back when Virgin were Cable & Wireless they did do a few streets in Lewes but stopped pretty abruptly. We contacted them at the time to ask if they were going to do our street (They had done the adjoining street) and were told they'd "Fulfilled their quota" in Lewes so weren't going to install any more cables. So I guess Lewes was too expensive to bother with back in the day and they did the bare minimum to collect a grant then moved on.
