On the topic of crime - earlier this afternoon, I noticed several cars that had been broken into - one was in Pinwell Road and the others were in the Court Road/Railway Lane carpark. I feel sorry for the poor owners who will have to foot the bill regardless of whether they have insurance or not (by means of inconvienience, excess and increased premiums (in fact we all have to pay the latter)).

Sleepy little Lewes (except for bonfire). You should try Brixton or Tottenham.

Yes, we used to know the police in Brixton when I lived there, very friendly they were too. I haven't seen a single plod since we moved here, yet they have such a huge police station - why's that then ? Maybe the police helicopter is connected to the police and sniffer dogs at the station the other day ?

Brixtonbelle - Yes, I've always wondered about the police in Lewes and where they hide. Must be one of the best jobs in the world. Years ago I used to drink in the Prince of Wales in Brixton (before it shrunk), the Albert and the Trinity Arms.

In a bid to reassure and lure Lewes citizens into a false sense of security, a cost effective Sussex Police helicopter shaped zeppelin was released over downtown Lewes Police station last night.

It is my belief someone important was in Lewes on Monday.I saw a double helicopter like the army use, around midday. The station was probably being checked for bombs early morning. Just an observation.

DFL - I met my husband in the Albert and up until very recently we used to drink in the Trinity afore going to gigs at the Aceademy.
And now they've only gone and copied Lewes and issued their own currency. I hope to use the lewes pound in Brixton before very long - maybe we could twin the towns.....
