I've an old HP printer that I'm not willing to cosset with overpriced original ink cartridges anymore. Can anyone share their good or bad experiences with the compatible/non-OEM cartridges. The reviews on the sellers sites less valued than those on here ! Thanks.

Skate HP have just set the bar for a the end of the ink rip off. It's called instant ink. You may monthly for ink which is delivered through the post. Various tariffs available depending on your usage. I pay £3.50 a month, for that I get to print 100 pages. If you go over you may a minimal amount, if you use less then it's carried over to next month. It's gonna save me at least 150 quid a year.
Only catch is......you need new printer so it can talk via wifi directly to HP to monitor when your ink runs low. You get new cartridges posted directly to you, way before you need them.
Only catch....an A4 page with a full stop counts as 1 page off your monthly allowance. However if you print a lot of photos in colour then you can really gain.
By the way, a new printer that is instant ink compatible, with a scanner and copier can be had for less than £60.

Thanks for the ideas. I've not got into Wi-Fi, all solid cable, but the instant ink deal sounds good for those with higher usage.

I can recommend StinkyInk (www.stinkyinkshop.co.uk).
Two for the price of one and next day delivery (free the last time I used them).
