Hi, am visiting Lewes for the first time next week. Apart from nice walks we are also very interested in car boot or table top sales. Does anyone know of any this weekend (1st and 2nd)
Thanks so much in advance
Linda

Hi,
no we're coming 'across' from Portsmouth : )
We've splashed out on a hotel to treat ourselves and a restaurant so need some cheap/free entertainment.

Hi, there is a small one on Sunday, in the car park behind Waitrose. It's a bit early in the year or the big ones to start.
I think one of the bonfire societies has a tabletop sale at the weekend as well, but not sure where or when?

Ahh, thank you both for taking the time to reply. Also you mentioned bonfire society, well that's taken me right back to my childhood! I grew up in Burgess Hill but left there 20 years ago. i think it's probably as awful a place to live as Lewes is lovely? But I remember the torchlit processions well -used to scare me as a child!

Enjoy your visit, hotel and dinner Linda. All visitors are of course welcome to Lewes, whether from London, Timbuktu or indeed Portsmouth. May the sun shine and everyone be welcoming that weekend.
