I drove into Waitrose car park this morning to find a car parked on the corner into the main area. I stopped behind the car, looked around and saw two available spaces. Two vehicles exited the car park.
Thinking the stationary vehicle was waiting for someone or awaiting a particular spot I drove past.
On entering the main body of the car park I saw two further spaces and two vehicles manoeuvring to leave.
I stopped to allow one to complete his manoeuvre whereupon the initial stopped car drove up, stopped alongside me, lowered the window snd the driver yelled “You jumped the queue”.
I replied there was no queue and there were available spaces at which he yelled “You jumped the queue” again. I said that if he wanted to park ahead of me he was welcome to and he again yelled “You jumped the queue”. I again suggested he went ahead and parked as he was blocking the exit snd he shouted “You have to reverse up”. I declined, he shouted it again and then squeezed between my car and the one trying to leave. The perplexed driver of that car raised his hands, drove out and I parked in one of the many available spaces.
One expects this sort of behaviour in Tesco or Aldi but not in Waitrose!

Ive had this also in waitrose car park when i was behind a car that was waiting for a space i politely showed my blue badge and drove past him to park in one of the few disabled spaces, when he had found a space he came up to me as i was getting shopping bags from my boot and said to me "in the future i should wait my turn" to which i replied "do you have a blue badge?" He replied "no" so i said "i will do the same again then as it wasnt affecting him finding a space."

It drives me mad when people wait at the entrance when there are spaces further down. I just drive past too. Not been shouted at yet though.
