The government failed to act on the most important recommendation in the report on fracking and safety by the Royal Society of Engineers, that their recommendations were enshrined in legislature. Without this the industry is self-regulating. There is also no duty of care imposed so if an exhausted capped fracking well starts to leak then the company that drilled do not have to come back too repair it. Indeed there is no govt body that monitors these wells as the govt decided not to implement that recommendation of the society either.

Basically it's crap and aimed at a few companies making very fast profits at the expense of our land.

Hi Dingo. If you want to maintain a modicum of credibility, you might want to think about waiting more than 12 minutes before commenting on one of your own posts. Particularly in the wee small hours.
