Anyone know what the average cost of getting a long length boot zip replaced? And anywhere in Lewes to get it done.
Thanks

Yes I had poor service in Boots when I asked about zip replacements too.
Accordingly to the rather condescending assistant they can only advise on hip replacements.

I just moved here from the US and asked in Boots if I could replace my ZIP. They said it was too bad, I was stuck with BN7.

Have you tried asking the guy who runs the shoe repair shop in the passageway between Cliffe High Street and the car park next to the Brewery yard? If he cannot replace the zip himself he may be able to recommend someone who can....

I replied but the forum system didn't publish my post - strange.... So I'll rewrite briefly to say that the new guy in North Court off Cliffe did a beautiful job this year on replacing a calf-length boot zip, or otherwise Clever With Leather in Tidy St in Brighton also did a beautiful job on the other boot a couple of years ago. They're not always open, but - if this post succeeds! - I'll look for their mobile number and post it.

OK, here's a 2015 phone number for Clever With Leather re opening times: 07885 079784. The place appears in Yelp and Facebook, with several excellent reviews and a couple of terrible ones, and I think the latter are v suspicious as the people there are a delight to deal with. Anyway, you'll probably be able to sort out the boot zip in Cliffe.
