Lovely people, unassuming and without pretension. They've worked hard. I hope they make a go of it.

The fact that they claim to be '25 minutes from Brighton ' as a tag line will endear them to the locals!

What's with this new Lewes obsession with yoga? Canon O'Donnell and soon to be Turkish Baths, am I the last person in town not to participate?

The hippies are taking over our town.
By all accounts they are going to be having armpit hair platting sessions when the Turkish baths are converted.
What a load of cheap!

Oakley's now call the building 'Lewes loft houses' - to be sold at eye watering prices of course. It's so now to rewrite our landscape history. I think we are to have 'Manhattan' flats at the other end of town.

I wonder how many prospective (non-local) purchasers will spot the name and immediately think of neatly painted airy, clapperboard clad, buildings sitting alongside a picturesque quayside or harbour-front, only to be a little disappointed when they find the 'loft' refers to 'loft-conversion' houses/apartments that are situated on a busy road, rather than sail-makers' 'lofts' situated alongside a picturesque quayside or harbour wall.
Why not simply call the redeveloped building 'O'Donnell House' (or something similar) to preserve a little of the local history?
'O'Donnell House' would probably avoid a lot of confusion once people start asking folk for directions to the 'Lewes Loft Houses' and get upset when they are greeted with the likely response of "Where?... err, no, sorry, I've lived here for years, but I've never heard of them.. err, have you tried down by the river..?"

I've been trying the 14 days for £20 offer at Soulfit. Can recommend highly - friendly atmosphere, supportive teachers and a wide variety of yoga styles to try. I'm hoping to continue with a couple of classes. My only concern is that solo classes are pricey at £12 each so you have to be able to pay a lot of money up front to get multiple classes at a lower rate. But overall it's simple and unpretentious and welcoming
