Finally got into prezzo's Saturday
Food 4/10
Service none existent
Having been seated and my drinks order taken I had to wait 40 min to receive the drinks.
So you can guess how long I had to wait for food!
The staff didn't understand English, and I sure couldn't understand them.
When it the food came the cray fish tails were tasteless and the main course was a small piece of chicken and some veg, no potato, pasta any thing to actually fill me up.
Didn't want to chance staying for desert as I'd wasted the best part of 3 hours already.
Thank god they opened opposite a kabab shop, Chips in pitta bread on the way home!
I'd advise anyone to avoid.

Can't really comment for obvious reasons, but you might be interested in the thread on Best and Worst cafes.
It might partially explain how these cynical amorphous chains think and operate.

To be honest, it's up to you guys.

For example - Guido's made a few mistakes at first and I think they know that, but personally I think the food is pretty good, homemade ( ask the chains how much is prepared "on site" ), and the owners live in Lewes.
But Lewes seems to have ignored them and I don't get it.
Please don't write in and slag them off if poss, because I didn't mean that to become the main thread.
But if you don't support them ( Lazzattis, Circa, Pailin ), they'll be gone before you even got to try them.

I just wish Guidos would put up proper signage. They are selling themselves short.

I ate in Guidos last week and it really was superb. The tajine was sooo tasty and the chorizo - mmmm... we over-ordered and they even wrapped up our food so we could take it home. I definitely agree that the look of the place could be softened a bit (maybe a few plants?) but I would recommend it over anywhere else in Lewes.

I thought the same about the signage, but there was a man up a ladder fiddling with something just yesterday! I fully intend to pay a visit - esp as there's lots of nice sounding veggie things on the menu - yum!
