Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with the council planning department giving or not giving permission for plastic sash windows? There are non-wooden ones on the market now which appear the same. Surely they are ok to use if they're designed to look like the originals?
Frankly I've had enough of re-painting the timber frames and waiting for a certain carpenter to return to fix the mistakes he made last time. Hello Richard by the way.
PS. We're in a conservation area.

Its difficult enough to get permission for wooden window if you are in a conservation area, so I would not be very hopeful if you intend to install PVC ones.
Although I note that along Priory St there have been some very recent PVC installations.
