Wonderful Lewes - Story of a lost camera

You perhaps have seen the lost camera threads. Just wanted to say that it has been found much to the delight of its happy owner. What is striking though is how Lewesians helped out and feed back information that led to the recovery.
Firstly there was the owner's appeal on this forum. Webmeister had the great idea of messaging all members of the lewes.co.uk facebook group. Based on this I sent a request to the FreecycleLewesDistrict group. This prompted a reply by somone who had seen the freecycle message and a paper note next to a path advertising the find of a lost camera. Went to collect note to conserve any information. Contacted person who had found it as well as the owner. Camera and owner should be reunited by now.
It's a privilege to live in a place where people help and look out for each other.
Thank you to everyone involved and everyone who offered metal detectors to borrow or providing details of people who can help.
Thank you for making Lewes a nice place.
