I've noticed that the two men from Landport who walk into town with their ladders and offer to clean windows are now trudging up to Ringmer and trying their luck there .

I used to have those window cleaners, but got so fed up with them trying to collect the money twice over I binned them.
Could do with a decent window cleaner, tbh, if anyone knows of one.

Fifi and Annette - thanks, that's really useful information. Sounds like very similar tactics to these individuals:
1. Clean windows (even if you hadn't requested it) 2. Pop back to house and request money 3. Pop back again shortly for money for jobs not done 4. Say they'd come back within a week and don't.

They creep around our bit of town now and then with a ladder hardly long enough to reach the front door knocker.
Pair of junkies and pissheads. What a waste of a life and a waste of space

Their approach was a bit different with me, Greyhead.
They would clean the windows, leave a note through the door saying they'd done it, and one of them would come back at the weekend for the money. A few days later, the other one would turn up and ask for the money again.
Generally, on being told I'd already I'd already paid his mate, he'd go off without a fuss. The last time he turned trying to get paid again, he was accompanied by a woman who basically bollocked me for having paid the wrong bloke.
That was when I binned them off.

They call themselves Clinton & Co. Made the mistake of letting them clean my windows. Told them not to come back and when they did come back on a Sunday and started 'cleaning' the windows without knocking the door, I had to threaten them with the Police before they would leave.

Residents of Landport Farmhouse i believe. Certainly somewhere in Landport. Beg (or busk) in town often claiming to be homeless. Latest this week was to help themselves to a bag of clothes left outside a charity shop. Looks like it was childrens clothing as most of it litters cabbage walk now.

I take it you have proof Fred that these people took the clothes from outside a charity shop and then discarded them in cabbage walk?
If so have you reported it to the Police?
Or are you just idly insinuating?

It's a shame that these guys did what they did, but at least following seeing this post more are aware to be wary of these two window cleaners.
Thanks for all of the suggestions for other good window cleaners.
