Who is responsible for the delightful display of wild flowers at the Offham Road entrance to Landport? Full marks to whoever - it lifts my spirits whenever I pass.

If you get the chance to have a look there are lots of other wildflower meadows at the university (of sussex).

All of Lewes's grass verges are awash with flowering weeds and thigh high grass this year. One years seeds equals seven years weeds. Whereas Uckfield looks like a garden village compared to our historic County Town. Which ever Council is responsible should be ashamed.

One man's knee high verge, Old Mayor, is another man's wild flower and pollenating insect haven.
I love the verges full of buttercups and clover etc etc rather than "garden village competition" stylee

I think the verges look nicer with longer grass and flowers than cut to look like golf courses. Also it discourages people from parking on them.

And well done the council for once again letting the hollyhocks grow on Morris Road. I think they are about 10 feet high now. Amazing display.

Just seen fantastic wild flower meadow opposite the shop in Malling, behind where the cars are parked next to the recycling centre. Beautiful!
