Why are the Rooks so bad?

Saw two games during one of my tri-annual Sussex visits: the 0-2 against Stones, and 2-2 with VCD. Why are we so bad? And what's happened to Dicko? Every pass beyond 2 yards went to opposition.

Don't know. It hasn't clicked yet this season. It will do though. They were poor against VCD, but Maidstone are a big spending club and can afford top non league players. We think they are spending well over £10k per week on wages. Lewes can't compete with that. Margate are spending a fortune too. Their team is actually London based and only go to Margate on match days! Even little old Peacehaven, who Lewes play tonight, have been given a shedload of cash by some millionaire and have just signed two ex-league players.
The Rooks prefer to keep it local, as it should be, but it doesn't win much.

Lewes Town an example to all that love real football.
Well run, well supported and lots of local players.
Smashing club and often go when not in purgatory in my ex home village of Bermondsey.
Their side will click and they'll finish mid table. Glad they haven't gone down the buy success route and I dearly hope they achieve success doing it the proper way as they are now.
I'd rather watch a losing Lewes Town FC than be one of the 20K fake Brighton supporters that have spring from the woodwork in their hastily purchased replica shirts - bought as they consigned their Arsenal/Chelsea/Man Utd etc to the bin (delete where applicable
