If you have a car, you can pick up eggs from numerous roadside stands in the surrounding country lanes. I pay around a quid for 6 chicken eggs, or about 1.50 for 6 duck eggs. Otherwise, yes the shop at Neville is much cheaper than supermarkets for free range eggs.

You'll have to scour the local papers. Middle farm sell both bantams and point of lay hens or have a look on omelt.com as they often have some locally.
Hopefully picking my 3 girls up tomorrow

There is a farm near the airfield in Ripe that sells chickens, light Sussex, dark Sussex, Bova Nera etc. All good utility breeds, sexes and vaccinated. You can get details of the website just google chickens for sale sussex. I've had five birds from them, all healthy and good layers. When you go take a big strong box!

What the roof made off? If its felt its likey to harbour red spider mite - which is very nasty for the chooks. If you have a fox problem you will need to dig the wire into the ground and remeber they, and rats can climb!

South of England show coming up - and there are several suppliers there. You need to plan and have everything in place before you get your girls: somewhere rodent proof to store food; will you need straw: what bedding are you going to use (and how will you dispose of it!) - have chooks for a couple of years now and happy to help you out

There's a fencing place in Ringmer. I would recommend not getting chicken wire, but 1" by 1" fencing instead. And put the run on slabs, then no need to worry about foxes. Put woodchip down in the run.
