If, like me, your rubbish collection was due today, then you have to wait until Monday 4th Jan, when there will be a "double collection".
I've hosted a few families over xmas and the rubbish has piled up. My two bins are full and I don't want to attract rats. Is there anywhere I can take my rubbish instead of leaving it in the garden, some kind of mixed-use dump? This includes food waste which I assume I can't put in the Ham Lane recycling centre!
Thanks
Rubb.

No. All are on time except today and next monday, which are simply missed. So all those on Nevill with their rubbish out front, nothing is happening until nwxt Monday. I too would be keen to have the answer to the poster's question.

For those of us on Nevill there is no collection at all this week. Double collection next Monday apparently.

Ham Lane is open from tomorrow. If you put your food waste in with your general household waste, only you will know.
I'm in a similar situation. My bin is now full and the clips that hold the lid on won't reach. Thanks to next door's cat, the lid is now right off and quite a bit of rubbish is on the lawn.
While the dog did a good job of deterring foxes during the night (apologies to any neighbours disturbed by her barking), I can't see them being so easily put off after a night or two. They'll soon suss out that she can't get at them.
And next door's cat doesn't give a damn about the dog.

Yes, it's all of the Monday and Friday collection in Lewes that is affected. I intend to pop down Ham Lane a couple of times...

Looks like Prince Edwards Road is tomorrow. A midnight flit to drop off 5 bags full of assorted turkey parts seems in order. I reckon I can do it without even stopping the car.

Shouldn't the food waste go into the grey rat proof container so that the bin men can chuck it in the back of the lorry next week with all the other waste?
