Donna, Edmunds, Barcombe Councilor, young libertarian right-winger and prolific scribbler to twitter, two blogs, two Facebook profiles and right wing think tank Progressive Vision communicates her ideas ad-infinitum, almost everywhere.
Apart from promoting her ideas (and calling her constituents idiots and then lying about it), does anyone know what she has done to help her local community, and very especially since she was elected, the parish she represents Barcombe?
This is a serious question. I've dug and can find nothing.

Dear Zebedee,
I have been following the threads about said councillor and the alleged thin skinned offended soul.
In answer to your serious question my serious answer would be "Who really cares?".
What is clear from the previous threads is that a number of people either directly or indirectly connected to local politics prefer to spend their time delving in topics such as muck raking, entrapment and generally stirring the brown stuff to the extent that local issues take a back seat.
Thatâ??s not what the electorate put then there for.
As an aside I have no allegiance or affiliation to any political party and acknowledge that in the right hands there is much to be said for representational democracy.
Clearly it's not in the right hands.

I thought it a highly appropriate question, after all our local councillors are accountable to their voting public.

Agree bastian... if a voter writes to a councillor, including their name and address and expresses genuine complaint then fine.
Likewise, if at a council meeting a voter with a genuine belief stands up and takes issue at the appropriate time then great stuff.
With the internet and social networking sites comes anonymity and a platform to bang a drum.
Are people who they say they are bastion?
Are they genuine voters with a genuine complaint?
Are they genuine councillors who wish to help the electorate or are they too busy banging their drum?
Luckily the system allows face to face meetings between voters and councillors so... let's see them all meet each other eh?
Keyboard Warriors (be they councillors or voters) are two a penny.

There has been no entrapment Phil, and a genuine question for Donna who visits here as Hoodie Hugger. What has she done for her constituents in Barcombe since being elected?
BTW Phil. Does Donna have surgeries for her constituents? Are you sure? If so, when are they please. Are they in London (where she appears to spend most, if not all of her time) or in Barcombe?
As you say keyboard warriors are two a penny, as are the uninformed.

I'd say that report is quite biased, displaying too much of the reporter's own opinions ! Even though I don't like the Tories, I'm surprised that got through.

The BBC were having a laugh I bet - why else would they so openly create a titlebar displaying "Thanet Sluts"?

I dunno so much, I thought the report was fairly balanced, they gave Donna Edmunds the right of reply, they went to the Conservative Council Leader for a statement, they got a couple of different opinions from the public, all seemed fair enough to me...they even asked Conservative Central Office for their views. It was simply reporting the facts about her inane comments...
