Hi,
I am looking for a wedding reception venue for next year. I love the Tin Tabernacle but it is too small. The stables at Firle Place look great but are quiet pricey. Does anyone know of any other venues that would be suitable for a band and around 150 people? Or a very large country house tat we could hire for a weekend. We are trying to find somewhere near Lewes. Thanks

We had our reception at Pelham House and it was lovely. Good food, nice atmosphere and not too expensive (I think 3 course meal with glass of wine and coffee was £30 per head)

Try the Anchor Inn at Barcombe. On the river.
A great marque and great location. Ask for Juliet on 01273 400414. If she is not there ask for Julie or Simon. There have been many this year and i know for sure they have been really good. You may get some stupid replies to this post. Ignore them, go and meet them and make up your own mind up.
You will be impressed.
Best wishes

Pelham House can seat up to 150 people in the Chamber and we also have a large garden for outside drinks reception. It really depends on what style wedding you would like to have, we are always happy to have a chat and show you around. Steve is our wedding coordinator.
