I had the same experience but eventually succeeded. I wondered if it was because I was attempting to include a URL in my initial post.

This forum won't let you put links in. Normally when you try to do this a message will pop up with a little question that, if answered correctly indicate that you will be able to post a link. However, even if I'm sure I've got the question right the link has never posted successfully. To successfully post users of this forum have to munge the links like so:

jrsussex. You seem to have posted successfully three times now.

In an earlier thread the Webmaster said if you can't post the best way to report issues about problems with posting is via the contact form (h**p://www.lewes.co.uk/Contact). Usually best to describe the problem as clearly and exactly as possible. supplying all relevant details.

MC - Yes I have posted 4 times on this thread but cannot post on the smoking thread. Doing everything as normal, it just will not allow the post even though there are 15 posts remaining. I'm going to open up a new thread on the same subject.

Odd, I can post to the smoking thread. Have you written a lot of text? Or are there odd characters in it. Try writing the text in Notepad and then copying it form there into the thread.

If you send me what you can't post via the contact form I'll try and figure out what's going on.
The reason you can't put full urls in the posts is because I used to get loads of spammers doing it so I added in the silly questions to put them off.

Webbo - Had to go to Eastbourne this afternoon, have just arrived home, tried to post again and it went straight in, so I have no idea what the problem was. Anyway thank you and others for your advice.
