Yes. The water temperature is posted on the website; at the moment it's 23 deg C / 76 deg F. The new circulation system has cured the cold patch at the shallow end of the swimming lane where the water comes in from the spring.
In fact it's so warm that there were three alligators in it just now (inflatable).
I can never get links to work using Mozilla, so here's a modified version of the Pool's webste: h++p://www.pellspool.org.uk/.

Swimming in the Pells is very different from swimming indoors. The spring water is only lightly chlorinated, so you don't come out smelling of Domestos and with ferret-like red-rimmed eyes. You can lie on the grass or the sun-terraces, you can read, picnic and chat with friends.
The Pells is nearly four times the size of the Leisure Centre pool and there is a dedicated lane for people who want to do serious lengths, but still plenty of space for larking about. There's a paddling pool. There is reasonable food, not just ice-cream and chocolate.

Less chlorine to combat all the urine from the kids too. YUK. No thanks.

If only Lewes was by the sea. A five minute walk to the beach from my house would make my day.

Health Freak, the water is tested daily and has to confirm to national standards for public swimming pools. Less chemicals are needed in the Pells because the water is cool.
I've never picked up a verruca or other bug from the Pells, but I have from indoor pools.

Went in the Pells on saturday, and can say that it is definitely NOT warmer than the leisure centre. Not even close in fact. It may be a bit warmer than it used to be, but reports do seem a little exaggerated.
Having said that, it is still a great place to go, so don't be put off.

I'm going to give it a try - I'm craving warmth & sunshine and can't afford a holiday this year!
