Yep, excellent program....apart from Baldrick pretending to walk the length and breadth of the south east of England !! Well, he would wouldn't he ! I think he did it to check out the pubs on the way, he had enough beers during shooting !!

It was an excellent program; and the sight of the downs reminded me of the privilege we have living in such a beautiful area. I suggest that all DFL's and others who have not spent a day idly rambing across the downs and then retiring to a nice local pub do so soon ,as the weather improves.
i don't want to use this post as a political rant; but PLEASE when you vote in the County elections shortly consider maintaining the status quo.

Really nice to see my old history teacher (Mr Franklin) talking to Baldrick about the Priory Ruins
I really liked the programme and thought Lewes looked rather lovely

Why SussexJim do you have to turn this thread into an anti DfL message. Just because somebody once lived in London doesn't mean they don't appreciate the area and enjoying walking. For many this is the precise reason they moved here. On the evidence of this Forum it certainly isn't for the warm welcome from friendly local people.

Here here Why O Y, when threads on here start positively, they pretty much always end in someone turning things negative, its so pathetic. It was a really great programme showing our county is one to be proud of.

It was not an anti-DFL message. I merely wanted to say that those who may not have seriously visited our beautiful countryside should do so. I apologise if I have put the wrong message across.

I was looking forward to seeing more views of the downs above Lewes. But we just got a couple of shots of Tony trudging along with his hangover. Would have been nice to see some more of the actual walking and scenery, not enough in my opinion. Nice bit of advertising for Harveys when he stopped at one pub (was it the Blackboys Inn?).
