Try any of the charity shops in Lewes, the Phoenix Centre or the homeless centre opened 1-3pm daily at 26 Station Street

I’ve done lots of volunteering round Lewes. Trouble is that it’s all been because of community service. Better than prison though

Bevern Trust, a Barcombe charity for young adults with disabilities, is always on the lookout for volunteers - people who would enjoy spending time reading to the residents for instance, or driving one of the minibuses. Those who donate their time often say how rewarding it is.

I'd suggest volunteering in a role that doesn't require much in the way of an education.

Local, you have no idea what you are saying. Anyone of any ability can and are volunteers across many areas. The Adult Society Care area in Sussex would collapse without volunteers. We are so lucky that so many do want to volunteer. Do you.....

I didn't say he / she couldn't volunteer due to a lack of education, merely that he / she should choose a role that suited their lack of education.
Yes, I do. Doing special tasks that are a good fit with my skills and education.

Loocal Scout groups are always looking for volunteers and contrary to popular belief you dont need to be an expert in knots or woggles and dont have to wear uniform. Have a look at this short video in the link
