Visit to the Odeon

Went tonight to see Narnia, very disappointing but that is not my subject.
Has anybody else been caught out by parking in the wrong car park. If you park in Churchill Square the Odeon will pay for your parking but if you park in Russell Road, the nearer car park, they will not pay. Tonight I had to pay £20 to park for 2.15 hours in Russell Road car park. Why is this car park such a rip off?

All the Brighton Centre car parks are a rip-off apart from Churchill Square, which is still not cheap (costs me £8 every day for up to 8 hours, £14 if I go above 8 hours).
It'd be slightly more acceptable if Brighton ran a good park and ride scheme but one does not even exist for Lewes Road.

There is always the train...
can drive to Lewes station (lot cheaper on parking AND petrol) so you still have flexibiity to get yourself home at this end with your packages - walking to Brighton station is not much tougher than walking to Car Park either

I use the bus. Or if I have the car I park in the Marina and get the number 7 into town which is pretty good as it runs every 7 minutes.

Too late for queequeg now but Narnia will be coming soon to Lewes Cinema, prob late Jan. Generally it should work out cheaper seeing a film locally than going to Brighton.

We drove from Lewes and parked at the Brighton station car park (in sight of platform 8) because it's £1 per hour, a lot cheaper than walking to Lewes station and taking the train, which would have been £14 (I wouldn't want my 16 year old driving a car, but it's not fair that he is considered an adult on the trains).

I work in Middle Street, four days a week. I'll check out the Russell Road deal. It sounds very attractive. Thanks.

I rang the central NCP number about this offer. They denied all knowledge of it. When pressed they rang through to the Russel Road car park. The people there also said they knew nothing about it. They said the best offer they'd had (which had now ended) was for £40 a week.. more than I pay for four eight hour stays per week at Churchill 1.
