Not sure it's unlimited, but they will most likely slow you down if you go bonkers downloading shed loads!
Personally, I'm curious about what Virgin Media are actually laying. Is it actually fibre optics, or Virgin Media's version of fibre optics?

We were quoted around £55 a month, including BTSport. There was a tiny saving (around £1, iirc) on what we're currently paying BT.
That was only for the first year though, after that it went up to £72, quite a lot more than BT.
We didn't bother switching.

It isn't really 100% fibre optic though, is it? How can it be when the connection to your house is via a flipping coax cable? It might be a faster connection, but true fibre optic BB it is not!

Pedantic Pedestrian I wished I lived in Keere Street but I'd never br able to afford it. But I still can understand why Lewes Resident felt the need to ruin the pavements. Perhaps he can explain.

Welcome to the 21st Century! Only in Lewes do we complain about progress. Please remember the rest of the country had cable TV and fibre optic broadband 15 years ago. It is time to come out of the dark ages

We've had fibre in Lewes for years, check your (very basic) facts before complaining...

I have 48MB from Plusnet for £18 via fibre. I live on South Way. Virgin dug up the pavement, it looks terrible, and I won't be using their service.

A lot of Milton Keynes was cabled when the houses were built. My parents had cable when they moved there in 1983, and I think their house was about 3 years old at the time. Parts of Croydon were done in the 80s too.
I don't see the attraction, tbh, unless you're big into sport. It seems that the more channels we have, the less there is that's worth watching.
We would never have bothered if the BBC hadn't lost MotoGP to BTSport.
