Cliffe. My cats have always received excellent treatment there.

I too like Cliffe vets. Excellent service. I know some people think they're expensive. Let's hope they don't have to ever pay for private human medicine!

Get an appointment with Suzanne Holliman at Cliffe, she is extremely good with cats.

I don't think Cliffe are expensive, not for a full service primary care veterinary surgery. I'd add the fact that they offer 24 hour cover by their own vets, which means that you can phone at midnight for advice, and if you need to attend they'll meet you there. I've really appreciated that facility a couple of times in the past.

We lost 2 pets at Cliffe while undergoing routine ops. And still got charged. Our neighbour had similar experience. Never go there any more and would not recommend.

Starnes and Blowey at Uckfield are excellent. Much cheaper than Cliffe and very happy to recommend home remedies rather than expensive drugs if they believe they'll do the job.
My last dog had superb treatment there when he had suspected warfarin poisoning, and the bill was far less than I expected. They're very down to earth and friendly, and respectful of owners' knowledge and experience.
I used to go to Cliffe, but got tired of never seeing the same vet twice.

Our assorted pets have been going to Cliffe since it had Teakle, Rees, Rawlins and Lang above the door. In those 50 odd years, I have never once had reason to complain. I think the present incumbents are absolutely first class and I'm not entirely convinced that Cliffe's prices are any more exhorbitant than anywhere else. Keep up the good work, I say.

Well thank you all for your advice. I'll give Cliffe a go and see if my eyes water at paying up time.

Another vote for Cliffe - very good with all our cats and the treatent towards me when i have had a cat cremated (after being hit by a car) and having a very old & poorly cat put down was just what you need in those situations.
On a flip side, they seem to have more of a turn over of staff at the moment and i have a (mildly) poorly cat who we have had differing reccomendations for

I don't want to bad mouth for the sake of it but Cliffe are maybe expecting everyone with a pet to either have very generous pet insurance or live in Cuilfail. They ARE very expensive and won't hesitate to do unnecessary tests i they can. Mainly they can do their job but expect to pay considerably for it.
