I nearly pmsl when someone from this mob was on Radio 4 a year or two ago. The interviewer asked her what she thought it would be like living in in Lewes and not using any carbon fuels.
She replied that she thought there'd be lots of acoustic music because everyone would have more time! I found myself shouting at the radio that they wouldn't have any blooming time, because they'd all be too busy hewing wood, grinding corn, fetching water from wells and going down to the river with their laundry.

Isn't Transition Town Lewes full of those long grey haired blokes yearning to be "hip" again? And "wimmin" yearning Goddess status? Either way, I feel that are the biggest hypocrites in this town.

Would the Spinster of this Parish please furnish us with a description of the members of her own image clique so that the rest of us hypocrites can spot them and have something to aspire to. I'm assuming they come down off their ivory towers when wandering amongst us.
Also could Paul Myatt please inform us of where he indulges in the Lewes transvestism. I myself am not inclined to participate but nevertheless it might be amusing occasionally to observe.

You will have no trouble spotting me in Lewes - I travel round in a Sedan chair!

Ah! a surprise. I had imagined your choice of mode of transport would have been the high horse but, yes, a sedan chair will easily be spotted. Is yours the 2 or 4 slave model? I hope for your sake that it is not the 4 as this will undoubtedly attract some abuse from Norman Bakerlite as technically it could be classified as a 4x4.
