So glad to see the tory government unravelling. Get the lot of them out as soon as possible. The destruction of our country has gone on too long.

Labour won't be allowed in until they become a Tory party, like 'New Labour'. Remember, the City-friendly neo-liberal state has been running since 1979, whatever the government.

The Conservatives really are proof that we get what we deserve.

Nice to see that come midnight, the BBC news channels lead story is some nonsense about North Korea, followed by more nothingness about that utter arse Trump. Third up, Rudd's resignation.
The BBC really has bean shamefully neutered by this government.
They ran a whole news story on the issue yesterday, based on the fact that poor Amber was incorrectly briefed on the issues. It utterly avoided the plain fact that she has been caught lying or at the very least, is utterly clueless as to what her department has doing under her stewardship (or May's).
I turned over. It comes to something when you are looking to a bit of balance from Sky News.

Imagine him at the helm with Jabba doing the maths. I can remember 33% income tax. You won’t be driving that Audi for much longer …

I can remember the basic rate of income tax at 8/4d. in the pound- that's 42%- under the Wilson Labour government. Heath reduced it to 30% in his first budget after gaining power. And took 3 million of the lowest paid out of the tax bracket by raising the threshold.

And took unemployment to over a million for the first time since the 1930s, and gave us the three day week, and took us into the EEC, and made inflation soar thanks to the 'Barber boom'.

Am I missing something here or are rates of taxation from the days when we paid in £sd a bit irrelevant??! And yes Dexter... I was asleep before midnight but the News at Ten was a complete shocker. The resignation was described in terms of its being "a tragedy" for Amber Rudd. The newsreader was clearly so saddened by developments.... He looked like he was speaking at a funeral. It started with Newsnight but the condition seems to have spread. Bound to be Radio 4 that's targeted next. Rather worrying given that almost all of our print media is owned by foreign billionaires.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that we have an awful Government because we have an awful opposition. And yes, shocking that many, including our MP have chosen to reflect on it being a sad day for Rudd rather than a sad day for all the victims of the policies, and of course not mentioning she didn't resign because of those policies, but because of her total incompetence. And that's a charitable interpretation of her actions.
