I've got a horrible feeling that Tom's last post may have been his last. He is probably a bit more sensitive than he appears and we have been a bit merciless at times. Who knows, he may even have a bit of a point about the virus, bill gates and the rest. One of his conspiracies must have some truth in it by the law of averages and it's always good to have someone who does say it.
Come back Tom.

Sorry to disappoint you mark, perhaps it's oversensitive but I find your mendacity quite shocking, though not terribly surprising. My reason for posting is to draw attention to two videos on YouTube~ Tanzania President John Magufuli, even papaya and goats etc. and Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina on France 24 RF. They are on the subject of the Corona virus. I'm sure that they will offend the inherent, covert racism of many but hope that they are of inspiration and hope for the decent majority. The Guardian, unsurprisingly did a hit piece on Dr. Magufuli using the tried and tested (see this forum) method of "guilt by fictional association". I'm sure that the more bigoted readers will lap it up and look no further. Mr. Rajoelina's rebuttal of the clinical testing canard is a joy to see. All in all the two videos will give great pleasure to all who like to see African patriots standing up to the patronising, hidden racism of western philanthropists and those who prefer natural medicine to the invasive, often harmful chemical concoctions of big oil's pharmaceutical industry that reap such fabulous profits that they can easily afford to buy up press and politicians. Good viewing to the open minded few who will watch these videos, they're a breath of fresh air.

Here's a quote from Sir Patrick Vallance, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Government, talking about the Office of Nations Statistics on hospital death rates ( just another conspiracy nut?) "death rates are people who have got corvid on their death certificate, it doesn't necessarily mean they've been infected, because many of them have not been tested". This was on an official government briefing. Now unless it was a fake put up by some "foreign power" what does it mean? To me it says that the figures touted by the media mean nothing in particular about corvid deaths, just deaths in general, not nice to contemplate but in a country of sixty million they must be substantial. It means stop worrying about it, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Welcome back Tom. Bang on form as ever. Sounds like you've found a couple of African presidents who agree with you. God will take care of covid seems to be the main thrust. You seem to then be accusing people who don't agree with them of racism. Please explain more fully if I have misunderstood your first piece. Why should I trust these people?
Your second piece throws doubt on the official death figures from covid and I'm sure many would agree that without proper testing we can't rely on death certificates. It could be higher or lower. A more reliable guide to covid deaths is to look at the total number of deaths from all causes in the UK since march and compare it with the number of deaths you would normally expect to see in that period. It is a fair assumption that the additional deaths were caused by covid. If you can show me that it is no higher than the average number of deaths in the UK for the past 5 years in the same time period or so I will agree with you.

Glad to know TP is alive and well. With regard to "excess deaths", they may be the best measure we have but we should remember that the lockdown will have affected other causes of mortality. In particular the reduction in air pollution worldwide will have saved many thousands of lives, plus there should have been a big reduction in road deaths and industrial accidents. This means that the calculation based on excess deaths may well underestimate the deaths caused directly by coronavirus infection. On the other hand, there may be additional cancer deaths due to people not coming forward for diagnosis, which would have the opposite effect.

I thought you'd like the, funded by Gates, Guardian article, the smug patronising tone is quite imitated among some forum posters. I love the subtle inference of naïve credulousness to ,well we can't say it but you know what we mean, certain let's say uneducated types who are victims of primitive superstition.I think that explains everything really.

Mentioning the Guardian made me have a quick look at off guardian the website that aims at doing what the Guardian used to do in the days before it became the mouthpiece of globalist ,Nu~labour socialist~lite totalitarianism. Brave new normal part 2 pretty well sums up a lot of how I feel. You'd better not read it though ,who knows Big Brother might be watching.

I'm enjoying all the Billy Gates stories from the alt-right conspiracy theorists such as Tommy P. You'd think that of all the billionaires out there that you'd feel would most match the cliched villain type, pulling all the global strings etc, would be someone like Jeff Bezos or the erratic Elon Musk. But no, their focus is all on that dorky bloke that invented Windows '95 and the Xbox. The same evil genius that has pledged 90%+ of his wealth to charitable causes. I suppose it makes a reasonable fantasy.
This is the trick, perhaps. Bill Gates lulls us brainwashed-unwoke-folk into thinking he's probably not that sinister, because he does either mostly benign, entertaining things.....or puts billions into ensuring millions don't die of AIDs around the world. Now he has our trust, he can start taking over the world and quietly eradicate us.

As I said some time ago, there are many more ways of shutting down free speech than censorship, the best one being that which is being employed here.
