This website is not reaching its potential because it doesn't have any classifieds or freecycle ads.

It's certainly not crap. But you have a point, some 'instant' classifieds would be invaluable as would freecycle ads. Presumably a high risk of spam and even legal issues for the webmaster? Suppose Lewes residents sign-up (using questions similar to those for posting urls) first to become 'members' henceforth able to post & respond to classifieds? Scope for the first electronic use of Lewes Pounds here.....

And what precisely do YOU (nearly a teenager ahhh sweet) think its true "potential" is - or indeed should be?
On-line auctions?
Dating Agency?
yet-another-link-to-Amazon?
why should "classifieds" and "freecycle" be seen as the pinnacle of achievement for a website - just because you set your standards lower than the astral plane acheived here - intellectual banter, repartee and social awareness then why should the users of this site lower their bar - aim higher - join in - and if you want freecycle - type that in your browser - if you want classifeds pick up the Friday Ad - if you want intelligent discussion, humour and a lively slant on Lewes life stick around - this wabsite IS CRAP...

I believe that this is a wonderful website and that it reflects Lewes and Lewes people.
The forum is vibrant and the chatroom is highly entertaining.
The webmaster is fair and reasonable - two qualities often lacking nowadays.
WELL DONE WEBBO!
