My 12 year old son has had two coats stolen in 3 days at Priory, while he was doing P.E.
Rang the school who said they would look into it; no word back, it's half term now so not expecting any luck.
Bit gutted actually - £60 gone just like that.
Has anyone had any similar experiences? Noticed a couple of unfamiliar coats at home? Should we report to police?
If anyone has any info would be happy to arrange return on here, no questions asked. Just want our items back - winter's on its way, etc.

Sorry. It's horrible to think that some lazy-arse parents are sitting there looking at your stuff, their children learn from them. The school could have be rmore sympathetic and it speaks volumes of Priory School that no-one has been in touch.

Not extraordinary Local, just gutting, wrong and frustrating.

This happens all the time, most of the time kids take them innocently thinking it's their own as uniform looks so similar. The school must get 100's of complaints each year thinking here we go again! Best thing to do is for the kids to wear a pin badge on their blazer or jumper (for example the small metal poppy badge or small metal Marie curie badge) these will make jackets or jumpers more distinguishable to the kids when they are taking them off the hooks.

Good point SD but these were coats, not uniform.

I can happily report that my son's coats have been found in the school. Whether they were returned by a guilty thief or just lost by my child is a mystery and will remain so, probably forever.
Children eh...
