Have you also noticed that "The Rouser" page(s) have been cut by 50% and that the Sussex Express is responsible. If you are in the folllowing places you can sign a petition to get back "The Rouser" to full strength. The Brewers Arms, The Lewes Arms, and The Gardeners. - this petition will run until Thursday 24th February - please sign and keep this long standing tradition going - Thank you

I'd suggest a petition to put it out of it's misery. It's usually completly inaccurate and dull. Think Northern John writes it after a night on the Biddies.

Oh yes let's preserve this fine long standing local tradition, then we can all look forward in some far off time, to hearing the story of the eccles cake.

For a number of people it is their raison d'etre for buying the paper in the first place or so it seems - and yes he is any number of things mentioned but after 37 years at the Express I would have thought they would have had the decency to tell him to his face that they were going to cut his contribution instead of by e-mail. This is not about Eccles but is more about the treatmemt meted out by those that feel they can treat people like dirt.

Oh look, I've found some random old photograph of Lewes/a beardy old yokel/a sheep. No idea who's in it. Anyone have any ideas? Please write in. Looks like the Sussex Express have come to their senses as far as this piss-poor excuse for "local interest" goes.
Lets hope they next take the axe to to their ahem "Faith News" pages, ie the regular full page advertorials paid for by evangelist god botherers, usually featuring missionary work, or ex-crackhead rappers who've now "been blessed by the Lord"

Maybe they could scap Rouser and actually start printing some news? I mean up to date local news, not a two week old story about a cat stuck up a tree........
