I VOLUNTEER AT THE NUTTY WIZARD.
Young people voluntarliy attend the Nutty Wizard.
Residents: I am sorry you find young people having fun so disagreeable. It is only for 3 hours a week!!
Have you been inside the Nutty Wizard??- Perhaps your jealous that that they are having so much fun-being able to play pool, participate in creative extra curricular activities, cookery and listening to music and being appreciated by thier friends and adults that volunteer thier time to open the Nutty Wizard.
They may not be able to do this in thier own homes and parents may like some space for 3 hours a week.
Young people are challenged over any discriminatory to others or unwanted behavoir.
As a volunteer I acknowledge I have seen young people playing hide and seek and socialising outside-frankly its nice to see: Especially that the Nutty Wizard provides an alternative to pubic houses for young people up to 18.
No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises
I have not seen any deliberate kicking of footballs at windows or deliberate breaking of car mirrors/parts and I would personally challenge a young person if I saw them behave in that way-but I have not.

All young people can be rude-even your own children (believe it or not Lewes).
Lewes residents should be grateful for the Nutty Wizard, a registered charity. For providing a safe and warm space for young people to go.
Frankly, looking at these posts I can't think of anything you offer the young people of Lewes other than a feeling of being unwanted.
VIVA THE NUTTY WIZARD!!

Deborah, please don't think that Lewes is peopled by grumpy old men. If you look again through the thread that's set you off you'll find that after the first half dozen posts, nearly everyone said how nice the young people are in this town and how they weren't doing anything we hadn't all done ourselves. So, keep volunteering.

Top post Deborah. I used to go to the Boys Club in Landport in the early 80's and had the best time of my life.

Keep up the good work

Does Spongebob's post mean that he's still in his thirties?
How depressing.

That's what I was thinking. Spongebob always sounds as if he's at least 50. What an awful life he must have had.

Well said Deborah. I am one of the nearest neighbours and there is very seldom any trouble. It is great place, in a society where there are less social activities for kids, over zealous government policy, paranoid parents, indoor solo activites (computers) mean that the NW, scouts etc are needed more these days.
