They haven’t bought anything. They expressed an interest in the freehold but that doesn’t seem to have reached a deal. I imagine that they couldn’t get the price low enough to justify the investment in refurbishing the building.

Yes Marco. Wonder if Spoons are actually after Barclays? Bigger and just the sort of building they like. Also probably in slightly better nick than The Crown. When Santander go and Barclays move over the road, we may see Spoons swoop into Barclays.
