Has anyone in lewes heard what the plans are this year regarding trains and road closures? Is it the same as last year ? I no not everyone will like this post but maybe some useful replies would be good for us residents that support but don't get involved. ??

Assuming you mean Bonfire, then it'll be on the 4th this year (as Bonfire doesn't go ahead on a Sunday - burning the pope and all)
Road closures will be the same. Unsure if the trains will be affected to the point they were last year but I think in the current ways of terrorism it would be assumed that the trains will also mimic last year

Wasn't the train issue just down to strikes last year?

Given how little effort they are putting in to ending the train issues, the one upside of the Tories winning the election would be that there would almost certainly be a train strike this year on the 4th.

Not having Bonfire on the 5th if it's a Sunday has nothing at all to do with burning the Pope. Don't you think if it upset the Pope that'd be more likely to make it happen on a Sunday?

@just me. That was what I was told, I'm not bothered by the reasons.
Either way it's not happening on the 5th this year
