Annabels? Yeah, we got some ham there the other day and some very cheap quail's eggs. Her stuff's pretty reasonable and everything we've bought there so far has been very nice. It also means you can do pretty much all your food shopping in Riverside now, except for vegetables so everyone who doesn't like Tesco has no excuse not to be doing so!

It's not just cheese either-also got fab condiments and good range of teas. Service with a smie from a pretty face always appreciated too!

Havn't been in there but surely the stuff is dearer than a supermarket? Can people on a tight budget get value for money there?.

It depends if you're comparing like with like. You can buy cheaper, Tesco value versions of most of what she sells but it'll be pretty grim stuff. To get produce of the quality she's selling at a supermarket would probably cost more if anything as they lure you in with teh cheap crap then load the price of "luxury" items i.e. anything not in a blue and white striped packet. Likewise getting fresh meat from Bens or fish from Terry's is cheaper than the equivalent at either Tesco or Waitrose.
