Why is there not a bin at the bus stop at Tesco's, the rubbish is increasing and blowing on the street. The bins near the flyover going towards Tesco's are over spilling at times. Rubbish is not a pleasent sight to look at especially when walking along a water side path.

I think there are plans to put some outside and to try and protect the river from Tesco's rubbish too.

There seems to have been a concerted effort to remove lots of bins in the town. The "precinct" looks absolutely horrible by lunchtime every day. Why? (apart from the horrible architecture). Council people read this forum - can anyone offer a reason?

Don't shop there then, pretty simply really. Go to Bills and pay a fiver for a cabbage.

People should stop dropping litter. If there is no bin take it home and use your own bin. If you see someone dropping litter tell them to pick it up. Leave excess packaging with the retailers.
Let's get the Council to help tie people's shoelaces if we are unable to do things ourselves.

Irrespective of some people not having the simple ability of putting rubbish in a bin, or just taking it home, there seems to be no bins in key places around town. I've written to Tesco's to put a bin at the bottom of the stairs by their entrance, as most people who litter find that this is one of their favourite spots to mindlessly drop litter. Mystic Mog is right, its not the Councils job to stop people immorally littering, but there needs to be greater opportunities for people put to put litter in. The LDC take a blind eye as it costs money for new bins and more collections. But without the facts, it could be just a pricey to litter pick continuously. Oh, and noone is around to police littering and offer any consequences for doing it.
