Are people on Talbot Terrace all curtain twitchers? I've seen a few eyes peeping out through the windows there and no longer like to walk down it

I can appreciate how uncomfortable you must feel! Never noticed it here myself I must admit, always found it a nice friendly area.

Not sure who is at fault here. If you noticed people looking out of their windows, it would seem you may be peering into the windows?
In any case, you clearly have a guilty conscience - STOP. You need to proud of who you are. So, if people peer through the curtains to get a glimps of you, then wave! They should be honoured to see someone like you among their humble street! They are, after all; just curtain twitchers that contribute nothing to a town like Lewes.
Jiggle ON and head UP!

As Lewesian has said Bob Taylor used to run the sweet shop. Bit crowded as he use to store his trusty bike in there. I use to live next door.
