Can anyone point me to a decent tailor/seamstress/person handy with needle and thread? I've a suit that needs the trousers and jacket sleeves taking up - but I want a good job done (the last time I took something to a dry cleaners that offered alterations, it was butchered). I keep meaning to learn the art of alterations myself, but it's currently languishing at #362 on my 'to do' list.
All suggestions gratefully received.

You could ask at Cade crafts upstairs in The Riverside or I think there's a place halfway up Station Street on the left

Upstairs in the Riverside has been called the-stitchery for over two years now!!! and whilst they don't actually do alterations and repairs, they do hold the contact details of people who do.They're very helpful
(Shelia Marshall who ran the place in Station Street sadly passed away at least 2 years or more ago)
