I would like to take my 7 year old daughter swimming. Would you recommend the Lewes or Ringmer pool? As she can't swim yet when is the best time to go? Are there any special sessions for kids?
Thanks

If she's a capable swimmer, Ringmer is fine. It doesn't have a kiddies pool but has some pool toys which you use if the pool is not too busy. If she just wants to splash around and have a bit of fun with slides and pool toys, then I'd recommend the Lewes pool. Both have an online timetable.

Somewhat shocked that a 7 year old cannot swim. Must be worrying going on a holiday

Well thanks for being so judgmental. I cannot afford many lessons and cannot swim well myself. The school do not provide swimming lessons until much later at primary school

Jo, Your other option is the White Hart Hotel. They have a small but lovely pool which is lovely and warm. It's a nice safe place and less noisy too. Schools should teach swimming at the earliest age possible IMHO. Hope this is a bit more helpful.
