I've just passed three blokes in a car all wearing shades. Is it just me or are sunglasses just a bit naff?

The wearing of sunglasses itself isn't naff, though choice of design and where/when they're worn might be. I did once see a 'too-cool-for-school' guy wear shades indoors at a dimly lit fashion show - only to walk smack into a pillar. There's no recovering your composure after that.
But I have to put my hand up to wearing shades even on overcast days if it's a bit 'squinty bright'.

I agree with McCauley that it depends on the design, but sunglasses are a must with the sun blinding me as im driving home from work. Also if I don't wear sunglasses I spend the whole journey squinting and end up giving myself a headache ...

No Matter The Time Of Year . . Enough bright sunlight whatever time of the year can cause cataracts and headaches etc.
My sunnies go on as soon as the sun comes out if I am driving.

There's that bold guy getting the 7.46am 100 from South Terminal to Betts Way. With a bit of luck you can also see him on the 7.05am Gatwick bound from Lewes. He just looks ridiculous wearing his shades the wrong way round - facing backwards like his face was above his ar$e. What fascinates me is that they actually stay in place. I wondered whether they're glued on or whether it's some sort of magnetic mechanism with one magnet hidden in the glasses and one implanted in his head. But why? Why on a rainy dark September morning?

If any of you see me in sunglasses, trust me it means I had a very good night. Shall have my Armanis on in the morning for sure. Best to you all, how are you McCauley my friend? Peter.
