A day or two ago I saw an advert for Subway-the sandwich shop-on my computer. I think it advertised a bacon roll and coffee for £2. I thought that this was very reasonable; and something I might buy next time I visit a major railway station.
Today I read in the Sun (reading over a shoulder in the watering hole) that Subway no longer sell pork products, as they are "un-islamic".
Is this still England; or what?

There are 1,423 Subway franchises in the UK. 185 of them have decided to only serve Halal meat due to local customer preference. Seems like good business sense to me.
