George Rose Buxted is nearer than Shoreham- and you can have a walk in the Park or even a posh tea @ the Bux. Pk. Hotel . I suppose there is a greasy spoon in Shoreham . Dunno Mr. Doe though.

Won't start properly (have changed spark plug), and then runs for a minute or so before cutting out. Pull cord has now snapped too.

Tbh unless it's a stihl or similar I would bin it as it will cost you loads to fix it , you can pick up a good secondhand on on eBay or gumtree

Frak, I had a similar problem with my mower- it ran for a minute or so and then cut out. I removed the air filter; and it ran OK.
Try this first, and clean or replace the filter. But don't run it for long without the filter.

Try PP Estates, Bell Lane Uckfield. 01825-769100. I'm a customer, not doing their PR for them

It's possibly a blocked carburettor or air bubble in fuel line. Like Jim said, try the air filter too. Which part of Lewes are you in?

The most common cause is stale petrol. If left for more than a month, it loses its octane rating. It's also worth checking the fuel filter inside the fuel tank.
