Hello all, was the tunnel being cleaned all last night?
That's the only thing I can imagine was making the strange noises emanating round Cliffe. Very peculiar. Anyone else hear it or am I losing my marbles?

Hi Earthling, Sorry if I disturbed you, we come from the planet Balooga to see if we can help sort out your warlike differences throughout your planet. Unfortunately we could not find anywhere to park as we had none of your tokens. We was approached by men in blue so we beat a hasty retreat and realise that it is your nature to be aggressive so we will leave you to sort yourselves out. Gleenargo ( good luck ).

They have been working nights on the railway bridge in Station Road this week - stuff that can't be done while the trains are running. Probably that noise carrying across.

Ok Horseman thank you. I am learning much about stonecraft. Setts in Prince Edwards Road, before they tarmaccadammed them over(!) and pavés in Cliffe High Street. Wonder why cyclists want to ride on them though, perhaps its the vibrations?
