My bike was stolen from town this morning. If anyone could keep an eye out for it I would be really grateful. I have had a hip replacement which hasn't gone too well for me and this bike is just perfect for my recovery. It's a man's black ish bike, thick wheels, and the cover for the gears on the handlebar is missing.

Mmmmm.....not a good place to leave anything unsecured methinks. Not the most salubrious spot in town. Have you reported to the police? Not that they will search for it but if it gets dumped by whoever took it someone might report it.

Hi Celine, I didn't say it was unsecured!?
Alas that unsalubrious part of town is where my GP and the chemist is. Yes I reported it to the police.
Still looking and happy to buy it back.

If you are real a.christie you are indeed a generous person, tall and one who rides the downs at night - Elementary, large frame, chunky tyres and lights. I would guess you cycle over to kingston for a drop of ale

A big thank you to Alastair and to Nicky, and to those who offered help and uttered words of condolence. I sometimes lose faith in humanity when reading the forum, and your kindness and generosity has reminded me that these qualities still exist. I am truly grateful for your support right now.
To the person who stole my bike.... it suits my ailing body, I am willing to buy it back if you contact me. Leave a note where you took it?
