Someone must know why Steve King has been suspended by Lewes Fc

I don't doubt someone does. But I doubt gossiping about it on a local message board is good for either Lewes FC or SK, whatever has happened.

Something to do with this perhaps: 'Once the financial review is completed in early January, the club will publish the results to all its shareholders and fans.'

There will obviously be speculation but I am sure the Board are doing everything necessary with view to a timely resolution of the matter. They have worked wonders at the club and I am sure they have the situation under control. Perversely it has given Simon Wormull a chance in the spotlight - good luck "Worms" for Saturday.

There is a widely held belief that he sails a bit too close to the wind for comfort. It looks like he has been found out.

This story was originally broken by Eastbourne Borough supporters who earlier this week said that Steve King had managed Lewes for the last time. How did they know - is there a connection?

Did he steal money from the club?

How would Eastbourne Borough supporters know that? They said the story would break on Thursday. OK, they were about 6hrs previous, but again, how did they know?

Inthedark: firstly, the 'story broke' first on a non-league forum, where a poster who claimed to know a Lewes player had been told that King was leaving. It was then picked up on the EB forum. Secondly, I believe SK lives in Langney. He certainly knows a lot of people at EBFC.

There is a difference between leaving and being suspended. Are you saying he broke the story himself?
On 12 Jan 2012 at 9:11pm someone else wrote:
Not at all. This is purely speculation but my guess is that some facts / information came to light last weekend and on that basis something must have been said to King. Then I guess a board meeting would have been required to agree the suspension - hence the delay until news of the suspension had been ratified by the BoD.

I think he was rumbled sometime before the Met Police away game. In the 30 minutes prior to kick off he was in deep conversation with another chap, no smiles, just serious conversation and concerned looks. For the rest of the game he appeared very distracted.

So he won't answer the questions eh? Sounds a good enough reason to suspend him.
