I thought I would just browse the school website and was really shocked to discover it has not been updated since 2006!
What has happened to that school? It's really gone downhill and very fast, I hear.

they are probably teaching kids rather than updating websites

It's a very small school but i'm still not convinced about the head teacher there. One worrying aspect for me (and quite a few other parents i spoke to) was the lack of male teachers (Mr Jones was the last male teacher and he used to sort the website out but he left 2 years ago).

The school has a good record however. It's catholic school and is fairly strict with discipline. The lack of sports, music and language facilities was a little worrying though.

You're right, the school has an out of date website and no male teachers. I must remove my child immediately.

My son is there. Whatever they are doing when they are not updating the website, it certainly isn't teaching.

There was a Parent Teacher Meeting last night. Did any of you go along to air your concerns?

PS - parent - you should feel lucky, some folk pay Lewes New School expressly not to teach their children.

A school's website says a lot about the support and success of the school. The PTA page is completely blank!!! At least remove it so that it cannot be accessed and looked upon as dwindling school.
No doubt, Mr Jones,( the best thing to have happened to that school, and has since left), invested a lot of time building this website and it was great when in was concurrent with the times but now it's like a relic of the past. You can almost see the tumble weed rolling across the screen. Is there no-one connected with the school who would be willing to update it? It's such a shame to see it stagnate just because no-one can be arsed to do anything about it. Come on St Pancras, pull your finger out and get back that lost spirit!

Maybe they could get the Catholic church to stump up some of its massive amount of funds to pay someone to help with the website.

It's not just St Pancras. I hear Pells school has just failed its Ofsted and is to be put in special measures. What a shame, it's a nice warm and friendly school that really cares about its kids and the new head there is trying to do good things.

To be fair to St Pancras, they did get a 'Good' rating in their last OFSTED (2007), furthermore they were named in the top 100 most improved schools in the country following their 2005-2007 SATs results. Indeed, their results were pretty much the best in Lewes.
The out-of-date website does not do the school any favours though, and should either be updated or shut down.
