16 entrants. Won by a black lab called Beefy. Great fun. And the hare was very fit too.

Spaniel racing won by a black lab? How does that work? Could I enter a greyhound?

As the posters said, it's not just for spaniels. Greyhounds welcome, as far as I know. I reckon a pair of floppy spaniel's ears should be obligatory though...

No posters here. So next time I could enter my collie cocker cross (a cockie we call her). When is the next one?

They have an all-comers event for non-spaniels. They also had a dog fashion show one year, with dogs in fancy dress. Bizarre.

I think the all-comers event has morphed into the spaniel racing, as last Sunday was this year's solitary racing day. Fancy dress was included this year, but I don't think anyone managed to coerce their pooch to tolerate that degree of public humiliation.

That's a shame, my dog does a good Harry Potter. Would a cockie qualify for the all comers/spaniel race?

By here, I meant Barcombe.
